SDSA HONORS Sunday, April 23rd, 2023
The SDSA proudly presented the return of the annual event formerly known as the SDSA Awards Luncheon, now named the SDSA Honors.
Held at the Universal Sheraton Garden & Ballroom on a beautiful spring day, and one of the warmer after this gloomy grey Los Angeles winter, members and guests were welcomed by a Garden Party atmosphere, where they were able to enjoy a cocktail and greet old & new friends and colleagues.
Raffle ticket sales were robust for the vast array of prizes donated by Business Members and displayed in the grand hall. Also on display in the hall was the Community Outreach Committee Silent Art Auction featuring artwork created by SDSA members, with proceeds benefiting the non-profit organizationSet For Life.
Moving into the ballroom, the luncheon and Honors program began with the comedic rendering of our masters of ceremonies,Ellen Brill and Don Diers. Humanitarian and Hall of Fame awards, Business Member of the Year and Chair awards were presented. And, after a long three year wait due to COVID-19, the Earl Cooperman Lifetime Achievement Award was finally and happily presented to Mary Ann Biddle SDSA.

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING Thursday, June 15th, 2023
SDSA Members gathered on a beautiful spring evening in downtown Los Angeles for the June Membership Meeting hosted by Textile Artifacts. While visiting and catching up, everyone was awed by the amazing collection of antique period textiles, tapestry, linen and rugs. and their ability to reprint vintage designs on fabric.
Executive Director Gene Cane saw to the 'meeting' portion of the evening as eats and drinks were enjoyed in the alley bazaar.
